#reverb10 – Day 15 – 5 Minutes

Prompt: 5 minutes. Imagine you will completely lose your memory of 2010 in five minutes. Set an alarm for five minutes and capture the things you most want to remember about 2010. (Prompt by author Patti Digh.)

Setting the timer:

TEDxHouston — the whole thing, from the flash mob outside at the beginning, to all the speakers, to the amazing finale

The Houston Feldenkrais Training — all 40 days of it.  The fabulous feeling of seeing students walk in on each “first day.”  The feeling of achievement for having pulled it off.

The Social Media Shindigs by Aimee Woodall.  Such fun and mayhem.

Time spent with my kiddos.  All of those get-togethers.

Pedicure with Abby and real adult talk.

Each loving interaction with my partner.

Our trip to Chicago — every moment of it.

Performances by Divergence Vocal Theater, Houston Grand Opera, Mildred’s Umbrella

Fun times visiting friends at their homes

Music and parties at the Caroline Collective, especially MoshePalooza, BiteMeHouston, Do713, and Caroline Sessions —

That was the alarm.

  1. Hi,
Thank you for your comment. I think you are right, I became impatient. It might be internet fatigue that caused me to see reverb10 the way I did. What bothered me about the comment censoring is the incoherence. Something that gets on my nerves is someone preaching something and then doing the exact opposite, like saying you are all for fostering community and conversation, but only if they agree with you… anyway. Thank you for taking the time to write and I’m relieved to know that my post does not sound malicious… I don’t mean to put down the whole project.
